| Abstract: | <p>A new subgenus Fredwardsius of genus Aedes, is described and compared with other subgenera. Distinctive features of the female, male, female and male genitalia, pupa, and fourth-instar larva of the sub genus are listed. The subgenus has a distribution in southern Europe, southern Asia, and Africa.</p> |
